Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

The Barrowlands Final Small A commissioned piece done for Knight Errant Games.
Very elegant map.
Thank you
Marshlands are underrated.
Btw, I just got done looking at your other stuff, and it's all great! Wondered how you came to this style? I would love to see more of it. I'd pm with more questions, but I am new.
Thank you pgiustino. Are you referring to my hand drawn work or my photorealistic work? For the former, I guess my style has been influenced somewhat from artists I grew up loving as a kid, such as Mark Kistler (from his series The Draw Squad), as well as from artists here, such as Torstan, Max and J.Edwards. But a lot of it is just a matter of practice and what feels natural. As to the latter, I've written several tutorials having to do with creating photorealistic maps. A read through these will give you a good idea of how I go about creating these maps. Thanks again for the kind words. Cheers, -Arsheesh
