The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Absolutely feel free to use for COMMERCIAL or NON-commercial products. (Just read below) *** 1. DON"T RESELL these BRUSHES as brushes or alongside other brushes. I gave it for FREE, so respect it. 2. Don't TAKE credit for creating these brushes, which is logical. (But feel free to use this in commercial art work without having to credit me. You are, however, welcome to credit me. It helps with motivation to create more of these things. From then on I often create new ones, so I thought I'd share. I know it is just a png. But, it is a LOT of brushes. So, just ask me if you want to know how to set it up as a brush file. I have gimp, but it it is easy enough for me to find out how to make a photoshop brush file too. (Optional) I would actually like to see what you all create with this. So, if you have the time I would appreciate a link back to your maps. (Again it is just optional.) Also optional, I would like to hear your thoughts on the brushes and what you would like to have as a brush, I like creating brushes for maps.
