• Weekly Round-up - 21st May, 2018

Welcome to the weekly round-up, a summary of what’s happened at the Guild over the past seven days.

    Challenge News

April / May 2018 Lite Challenge : Create a bookcover

Our latest Lite Challenge asked mappers to create a book cover using the land shape Bogie provided. But there was a twist. All labels and wording on the cover had to be famous bands or musicians.

Our congrats to go aeshnidae for the fantastic entry "The Lost Island of Queensryche". Aeshnidae wins her first silver compass. Check out the WIP thread here.

Honourable mention to runner-up Weery, who came second in a very close vote, with entry 'The Jam'.

May 2018 Challenge : Create a set of stamps

There's still plenty of time to enter May's regular challenge 'Create a set of stamps', and we've got a bunch of great entries already. More info in the intro thread.

May / June 2018 Lite Challenge: The Fast, Free and Crazy Challenge!

The latest Lite Challenge has started, and you have something of a free pass this month! Bogie writes...

I will be 90% offline from the 13th on in June and unable to manage the voting that would run at that time. SO, for this challenge you are FREE to map anything you want to as long as you can do it FAST! Go CRAZY and do something unexpected!

I am going to close the Challenge around Midnight between the 10th & 11th and the voting will be just 2 days, ending around midnight on the 12th.

Win a silver compass, you know you want one, it is calling your name.

Map anything you want, and win a silver compass! What've you got to lose?! If you've any questions, ask 'em in the intro thread.

I often forget to check the weekly round-up, but clearly I need to do so more often!

Thanks for the compliment, Weery - you were a worthy challenger! And I'm really glad for the link to your thread on developing place names, it's very interesting.

      Thanks, guys.

I agree that aeshnidae's map looks great at the top of post. Great idea to co-ordinate with the Guild's colours!!
