The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

I keep meaning to come back here, but then another project takes off and I'm busy again. I's lovely to see that you and all my other favourite mappers are still around

Thank you And absolutely! its hard enough making symbols these days in this thing, never mind the maps. I'm not getting caught out by buying another rather limited laptop. The new one will be desktop I can upgrade.

Aw thank you! I miss being here too. You're a wonderful person, ChickPea. All this hard work you do making things for everyone else to enjoy around here - it wasn't exactly difficult to rep you! I'm currently working on a commission - a couple of sets of CC3 symbols. I've written a few paid-for blog articles, and I'm half way to being able to buy a new PC. This one won't even open most of my old maps these days. So I will be back eventually - maybe I'll even get to finish a few of those unfinished pieces I've got lying around all over the place
