Biography:
Hello folks, I'm StillnessTolls but you may call me Stillness, or ST as a lot of people like to shorten it.

I got into cartography about 2 years ago or so, but I've only recently wanted to go more in depth with my research on map-making. So, I joined the guild and have started working on more maps. Some of the things I'm learning more about are geographic terminology, drawing orthographic maps (top-down or satellite view), and nautical charts. I was inspired to start my mapping through world building for a novel I plan to write this winter (NaNoWriMo).

I mostly draw in a traditional style, and this is kind of my first big focus into landscapes. I'm a more practiced hand at drawing people and animals. I use an 8 piece pencil set, I think the brand I have right now are Staedtler or Faber Castel. However, lately I've just been using a regular #2 on printer paper.

When I work digitally I use OpenCanvas 6 on Steam, but I'm thinking about downloading GIMP again (haven't used it in years!).

Besides that, I'm a college student. So, I'll probably be working on and off on my projects. Depends on if I get all my study done. I'm studying to get a Bach. in Natural Resources.
I was a landscape student, and have several Certs. in the Landscape field. So I understand landscape design, irrigation, and plant layout.
