Oct/Nov 2017 Lite Mapping Challenge: Spyrmechi Island - An experiment

For this challenge, we had to use one of 4 basic island shapes to make a map. It was the second challenge I entered after my long forced vacation without the internet, or my laptop. But I had been toying with a mapping technique that I hadn't really seen used in CC3+ before... a mapping technique I decided to try with this challenge. A color wash map.

Well, the experiment was a failure... it didn't turn out the way I intended it too... but it's still an interesting map. I haven't given up on the idea of a color wash map, but here is my first attempt.
