Congrats on the newest addition to your family! And that's exciting news about your book too. The map looks fantastic. It's beautifully drawn, and it'll look great in your book. I love the border illustrations.
Good luck with the book release!
Hi all! It's been a minute or two since I last posted here, though I've popped in time to time to check out the latest masterpieces! I got a bit waylaid last year with the arrival of my second daughter, and pandemic times have not been easy on this working mom of two. But I have a bunch of new maps to share, starting with this one.
I'm SUPER excited about it because this is the first time I've gotten to illustrate a map for my OWN book and not someone else's, LOL! (Some of you may know my day job is writing novels for young readers!) So anyway, THE CLANDOMS is the world of my upcoming new series from Scholastic, the Skyborn series, and this map is for book one, Sparrow Rising, which comes out in July in the USA, and soon also in France and Germany. It was fun getting to add in little clues and symbols from the book, including the series' major antagonists, the gargols (upper corners!) who haunt the skies of this world. Anyway, glad to be back and hope to have more time this year to keep up with the guild!
Happy 2021 to you all!

I actually might have to check this book out when it's published
Really amazing map! That border is just superb.
WoW ! A new book and a splendid map !
We are spoiled !
I love the details and animals you draw ! They are splendid and so vivid !
Happy new year to you too and thanks for the presents!
Your black and white / greyscale works are second to none. Once again the border work is outstanding, and for me the clouds are my favourite detail here. The only nitpick I have is that the dashed line marking the roads is maybe tad too large and scarse for my taste, but other than that this looks great. Nice to see you posting again.
Ah, I love this, and congrats on getting your book published!
The details are so cute, Granny Tam's and Mossy Dell look like nice places to live. I like the shading on the gem that the weasel(?) is carrying in the corner
That map is a joy on the eyes
Oooh, such a cool map, Liz' !! I'm totally fond of the general feeling here !
Thanks for your gracious comments!!
