Ward Plan
Map 1.png
This is my 5th 3d map for my sandboxed roleplay campaign, of varoius places in the Kingdom of Ryland (river land), I build the whole area down to street level with enough detail to let my players know whats there but space to add to from the story. This meens drawing all the houses, yards, land and trades etc as needed (i dont like prefab assest as I want a consitant look and feel, and not something that looks like others work. It can be alot of work, but my players enjoy the experiance.

This is then projected onto the game table from a ceiling prjector, and i can Zoom, pan and even orbit around as the players move around, i even zoom right out for general player locating when they split up, and back to street level when things get narsty.

Many thanks, for viewing it was fun, and long to build this city, but i learnt alot from doing it and that was the plan. now to let players loose in the streets.
once again many thanks

Been really cool watching your progress on this one, it turned out amazing.
I just sent a link of this article to my DM and while she thinks the map is amazing, she does not want me to expect anything near this for our next game!
Seriously though, this is a superb creation and the hard work clearly shows.
HAHA... left over from carboard backs from halloween, wife told me i can get rid of them when i build real ones
Thanks was a long slog, and i needed moral support hnce LOTS of posting on discord
lol.. thanks, its alot of work, and if i can keep players here for awhile it will be worth it..
Fascinating - what software did you use for the 3d maps?
so now the long (ish) procces of spliting up the map is under way
4 levels of zoom before i get to street level targeted exports, these ones are move dump, move etc..

my explorer looks like a shuffle puzzel
Cool set up and a really nice castle, but one issue does appear to me:

Either these names aren't relative to the city or your compass points are out of order.|North Quarter
