Thread: Valmare Isle (commission)

    Default Valmare Isle (commission)

This was a small commission i was working on last week for a Japanese writer.

First map (for scrapper) is actually an altered version of the original one. I made english labels instead of japanese, but I felt like the map is also missing something more, so i add the title and small story to the land.

Really nice map... sweet tones, simple stroke.. dry efficient. I truly admire how you can say so much with so few strokes...

Very nice map, Voolf . It's like a fantasy New Zealand.

I'm really enjoying this style of mountains you're developping.

Very nice map. I really like your top-down style. Sadly, I can't rep you for it atm.

Is this an alternate version of New Zealand?

What I really admire with you and other artists like J.Edward is your pencil skill (in french we say "coup de crayon"). That's what makes the difference between a craftsman and a real artist.

The map is simple and efficient AND beautiful. Bonus points for the driftwood split compass

As mentioned before, the shape is based on New Zealand, but i am not sure whether it is alternate version of the country or not. I did not get any info about the client's book.
