I really like the line work and the faded color!

Finalizing November's brush set and I wanted to take a moment tease what you can do with 'em. Little different from the last urban brush set I put together.
Hoping to launch it next week.
(Just realized the text looks a little crunchy, I'll fix it by launch.)

If you had not tell us, I could not have guessed that you made this map. It look exactly like the ones they used to make at that time.
I guess there is also a fair deal of work required to make these brushes.
But it's generally difficult to use since as you said, the projection is strange and the buildings need to be aligned properly.

I appericate all the kind words.
@Alézor - Yeah, city mapping, in general, is an odd beast since cities are both organic in growth but engineered in construction. Trying to make brushes that work as easily as topographic maps is a lot more difficult and there's generally more "post-processing" since you have to build in the natural land around the city as well.
You can rotate brushes in Photoshop with the arrow keys (handy when trying to align buildings/streets/etc) and that made the process for this a little smoother. But I still had to come in and do the lands and water by hand. (Thankfully, they were super easy and didn' tax my menial drawing skills.)
Oh, I should add, this set is now live and available for download! (Link to my blog.)
