Any particular reason it has to be in grayscale?
This month, we're delving back into dungeons!
The challenge is to create a greyscale, top-down dungeon tile, consisting of 15 100px-squares per side (so a 1500x1500 pixel image). Each of the four sides should have a one-square opening in its center (for attachment to other tiles), and solid walls should be solid black. The rest is up to you!
As an added bonus, the folks at ProFantasy Software (www.profantasy.com) have offered to sponsor the challenge with a $40 gift voucher for their site going to the winner!
Every entry should be a new thread in this forum - with a title of the form:
March/April Lite Challenge Entry: <My title>
Each wip image in the thread should be preceded by the tag:
### Latest WIP ###
The challenge will end on April 15th.
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with! Good luck!!

Any particular reason it has to be in grayscale?
It's so we can match them all up at the end and make a mega dungeon! ohh...crumbs...wasn't sure if it was meant to be a surprise.
This sounds fun. And nice prize too

Seeing as how the winner gets a free thing and Torstan has that annual set of mtns...I'd enter this if I could. Maybe I'll make a fake name and enter

hehe, maybe a CL can make awards disappear...
well, it has been known to happen that an award winner chooses to do the lite challenge without actually entering the competition - as we would like as many maps as possible to make a final huge map - feel free to join in on the sidelines

Hmm, just to understand it: one 100px wide opening on each side in the middle and the rest is up to me? Why the reference to 15 100x100px? And what about the thickness of the walls to get a consistent mega dungeon? I'm a bit confused
