Very nice indeed. I would just suggest a minor quickly fixable thing and that is to stretch the center of the northern desert vortex a bit left <-> right because this way now it has a strong top down perspective feel in contrast to the rest of the map.

In other news coloring and the sea I particularly like as well as Torstan style forests in the south

It would be hard to stretch it because it wouldn't line up with the other linework or shading but I can change some of the linework and maybe shading to try and make it look more angled. I honestly don't see it as top down but my brothers also think it does, so I'll try and fix it.

I really like your style. It's probably may favorite style I've seen so far on the forum. I've based my own drawing style on your. (I use pencil and paper.) I have a question for you: what do guys do for swamps and marshes? The map I'm working on currently calls for some wetlands, but I can't seem to get the look right. I'd very appreciate seeing what you do, so I can get some ideas as to what to do with my drawing. Thanks.

Wow! Thank you for your kind words. I'm relatively new to mapping (about two years), I'm no expert or proffessional so for someone to say that is a great honour.
I would love to see some of your maps, especially if you're basing your style off of mine.
If you want I can upload a version of this map with only linework so you can see the linework a bit better.

For swamps I usually do something like this: http://www.fantasticmaps.com/2013/03...o-draw-swamps/
I've learned a lot and based a lot off of Fantastic Maps tutorials, check it out: http://www.fantasticmaps.com/category/tips-and-tricks/
Also a good place for drawing maps on paper is a youtube channel called Questing Beast: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...o9gj0lamJNjkdA

Well, I've been working for even less time. I only seriously started drawing maps a few months ago, and I've only completed one map. You can view it here: https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ad.php?t=34638
It's not my greatest work, and I intend at some point in the future to go back and re do it. The individual continents I'm quite proud of, but they don't really mesh together as a world.

I'm on the home stretch for my next map. Hopefully, I'll have it finished soon. Thanks for the links. They look really useful. I'll pass on your offer for the linework version. I think I have the basics down.
