Work in Progress. Lots to fix and add.

I see it as being set in the 20's, hot climate, at first I thought of it as a newspaper office, maybe set in the Cthulhu mythos, or not.

I have no idea really what the lore behind the office is really, once I had to fill in the Legend with text whilst being tipsy now I just came up with a magic theme. A society which tracks magic happenings maybe.

Need some help with suggestion on Names for Section A-L and A2-D2 where varied investigative/administrative work happens for different magical fields.

Names for each section can end with words such as Office, Section, Quarter, Studies, Investigation, Research or anything really. Or suggest another theme.

And suggestions for names on the whole office as a whole even. 'Office of magical research' Might be a better one for example.

Thought it would be fun to have the community leave a mark upon it.
    Thanks /AdventureDepot

Hey there are some really pretty colours at work here, AD

One thing that's bugging me just a bit, though, are the shadows. You are using drop shadows for the levels, yes? They are rather too long, so that the levels look like they are floating rather than standing on the base level of the map. The other thing about shadows is that if you use them on some things and not on others everything looks a bit strange. Those trees/shrubs would also have shadows if the walls have shadows

I do love the colours on this one

    Thank you Mouse.

Might be plenty things I forgot about in this project. So many elements.

Any suggestion on making it not look like its floating whilst still having a shadow?

    Quick fix.

I think I identified what the logical problem was behind drop shadow being used as a shadow in itself.

Its really hard to see exactly what you have done with the shadows. They look very 'bobbly', to me.

Maybe try hiding that layer and do just a simple small drop shadow... or even just a dark glow to define the walls a bit better - instead of a shadow.

I'm not the expert with dungeon style maps. Maybe someone like Bogie might be able to say straight away how it should be done?

I know I keep saying this, but those colours are just gorgeous

    Its about to become finished.

Photoshop lags so much its a pain to go further with it, could be useful with feedback from new eyes in case. How essential is it to have furniture's at the top floor?

You're welcome, but don't forget that I'm also VERY famous around abouts here for some of the biggest mistakes and bloopers

I missed your last update, so I'll comment on it now.

The shadows are at least looking a little more even in nature, but IMHO they are still a bit too long, which is causing them to utterly dominate the map and distract from the beauty of the rest of it.

How about trying them at less than half that length. 11 am type shadows.

Again, though, this is only my opinion, and I make just as many mistakes (if not more) than anyone else
