Default Oct / Nov '17 OUT OF Lite Challenge: Banned Island

    Hello !

I can’t join the challenge but I wanted to map one of those shapes. I had an idea that would allow me to draw a map without my usuals tools (as my computer is still in repair)... no, PS, no GIMP, just Procreate on an IPad Pro...

So, Bogie kindly allowed me to make this thread, so I can enjoy critics and comments, but of course, this map won’t be in the voting panel, on the 15th of November ...

So : no vote, and therefore, no shame

I wanted to make a marine Chart of this island, in the style of the bookmarks I’ve done (so : no shadows, which I find difficult to manage on Procreate)... and here’s my first WIP :

Jo is definitely getting those classic border designs off to a T!

    I'm looking forward to this

That border is fantastic, as is the color scheme. Gives it an old nautical map feel!

Thanks Mouse, but my English is too limited to really catch the sense of your words...

Thanks... it’s a great tool, but not for all use, I think... I have to choose the type of map I can do, some won’t work... and there’s no text edit for the labels... but right now, it’s my only mean to map...

Thanks Kier... I’ll try to keep this spirit

    Thanks ! That’s my goal ! I hope to succeed ! Let me know if I don’t

And now a quick update... I had to redo the whole frame because of a scale issue... 1 degree is approximately 75 KM at this latitude, so, if the island is 240 km wide, my scale has to match... and now, the relief...
I still don’t know how I will put the labels, but maybe my computer will be back (spitting, crossing fingers, touching wood and casting all sorts of spells...)
