Thread: Touching up Published Maps

    Question Touching up Published Maps

I am in the middle of running an online campaign, and discovered there is no player version of the map. I have decided to use Photoshop to try and remove certain symbols (i.e. secret doors, traps, number, etc.), but cant figure out a way to make it look original. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I included the map I am trying to modify. Thanks.

I recreate the Maps because I suck a Photoshop/Paint type programs. I can't cut and paste good enough for them to not stick out.
I can try and do a MS Paint edited maps for you or recreate it for you in Dungeon Designer 3.

Yeah, Mike is great about creating DM-version and player-versions for his maps. If you go to his site, you can find pairs like this for many great adventures. I bought some of the maps for an adventure I'm DMing, and they're great.

Jonathan Roberts (aka Torstan here at the Guild) wrote a tutorial on this subject a while back, it might prove useful to you.

Thanks for pointing this out! I was hoping for a good tutorial on how to edit some pre generated maps I...acquired for my campaign and this does quite the excellent job.
