I've been doing a load of doodling and sketching (one of the advantages of not working in the same place as your boss...!), so thought that I should probably put up a single experimental thread rather than lots of random ones.

This was a 15 minute doodle done on a postit note on my lunch today, which I then scanned in and spent about another half an hour colouring this evening.


I think there should be a castle on it or something, but we'll see...

Not quite happy with the shadows, but I may try again tomorrow.

Thanks Tom, having hada good look at her work, I believe that is one of the best compliments that I have had for a long time. Much appreciated.

I had another go at it tonight - took muuuuuch longer (probably about 2 hours), but I think it looks an awful lot better. I may even put a castle on it, give it a frame and be able to call it a finished map, rather than just an experiment / sketch.
