Hey guys, here's a work in progress battlemap. The concept was for a 'wadi' or desert river valley which floods halfway through the battle.

Description
The desert air is curiously still at the mouth of this wide, barren vale. The sun-baked valley floor is of silty clay, suggesting periodic flooding in the wet season. Rocky cliffs rise on either side, with a few scant shrubs and hardy palms clinging on for dear life. Atop the cliffs there appears to be an ancient stone settlement - the remains of a fort, or perhaps a gate. A tall wooden platform is perched on the ruins - a much newer structure which suggests that the place is still very much in use.

Suggested uses
Defend the fort against a massive assault from the North, ensuring not one enemy slips through the pass. After a set number of turns, the wadi floods (or the dam bursts, or the ritual is completed)- and everyone who isn't on dry land gets washed out, Rivendell style.

Or use either map on its own for a raid on a bandit hideout, or a coastal skirmish with pirates.
