Looks pretty good as a first sketch. This isometric view can create something georgous.
I can now share my first WIP for this challenge. Not that it's much of a WIP at this stage.
Kilo11 asked me to make a map of the city of Qarthidistim, a city that seems to be inspired by ancient Carthage and Alexandria. I've made the ambitious decision to attempt a faux-isometric look, so it'll be difficult to get it finished in time, but I'll give it my best shot.
So far I have only drawn the basic coastline, the outline for the city walls, and the general street layout for major roads/avenues.
Keen to hear what people think

PS: apologies for the terrible picture quality. Hopefully it's still possible to make out some details

Nice start. Excited to see another city map from you.

Awesome beginning!
Thanks everyone.
Latest update here: not much progress, but starting to give the city shape, and a number of modifications to the harbour following Kilo's feedback

I am loving it! The changed harbor and seawalls are awesome. You putting a lighthouse there is also bang on! That is not something I had indicated, but it would definitely be there, and your rendition of it is also super cool (I love all things ancient, and that lighthouse you've put there is the very spirit of the Pharos of Alexandria!). So yeah, keep it up, and I am psyched to see the progress here develop!
Wow ! That's a big and beautiful city !
I really like the map of the city and the fortifications. The first lines that go beyond the sketch, towards the lighthouse and the port, promise a beautiful map! I'm looking forward to seeing the rest (and good luck for the work ahead! But it's worth the cost!).
