[QUOTE=Bogie;426516]We have made a lot of maps recently, this month let's try creating some art to enhance our maps!

Oh, okay, thanks for the clarification!
Well, those examples are just the kind of thing the challenge is for. Maybe ones not specifically tied to a specific map but a more general border type of thing. There are a number of great artists here who do fab borders. The HeMan entry in the recent monthly challenge was really good. MistyBeee does incredible ones and _PAM_ has posted some great art of late with striking characters in the borders. But even if you do something much simpler then it would make for a great entry.
Another useful website you can pour over is LiamsOldBooks, or FromOldBooks or whatever hes calling it now. Loads of public domain scans of old books with lots of borders. Also the artistic first letters of manuscript pages are a lot of fun too.
Heres 13 pages of thumb borders to oggle at...

(BTW if people like that site they might donate to him as it has tons & tons of free art for maps.)

Should we make a thread to mirror all of the assets created at the end into the Mapping Assets section?
Click my banner, behold my art! Fantasy maps for Dungeons and Dragons, RPGS, novels. No obligation, free quotes. I also make custom PC / NPC / monster tokens.
Contact me: calthyechild@gmail.com or _ti_ (Discord) to discuss a map!
That would make sense and make it a lot easier for future members to find them. Otherwise they would be lost in the challenge history bank.
