    Post MAY ENTRY: Spiessmann

Couldn't let this go with only two entries

Here is my entry - Spiessmann

In this game, one player acts as the defender and one acts as the attacker. (In this particular case, King Valdric loves to defend, and even had a special monogrammed board created, inlayed with gold and polished gemstones...)

Using a limited number of pieces per side, the players alternate placing their men on the board. The defender can only place the pieces on his color (gold in this case), and the attacker can place his pieces only on their color (red on this board).

Each turn a player can either place a new piece (until out) or slide a piece along a line until to another spot. A player cannot choose to not either lay a piece or move apiece, unless they cannot. If a piece is blocked by an opposing piece on at least one side and has no other moves, it is dead and removed from the board.

The attacker is victorious if they can move a piece to the center (crown).

The defender is victorious if they destroy all of the attackers pieces (who ever said ruling was gentle?)

The odds can be tipped in either players favor by pre-selecting the number of pieces to use for the attacker and defender.

P.S> any resemblance to 9-mans morris, the mill game, or any other type of row game is purely intentional.
