The hard edges have been reinstated! I think I was just trying to do too much and should have stuck with plain crisp transitions between colours right from the beginning...

I do really like the border elements and the compass though and the land and Topo lines look good too, just fix up whatever’s going on in the water and this map could be the challenge winner.
Yep, taken on board. hard edges and drop shadows all gone... There is still a massive amount to do on border elements, symbols, scales, notes, extra info, etc - drawing the map was the easy part methinks ... And don't go there kacey, there are waaaaay too many superb entries this month for me to stand much of a chance...

Oh yeah, that looks great. This map is super satisfying in some way. Maybe because it is so clear and straight forward.

Thanks Falconius, appreciate the feedback. There is just such a massive amount still to do that I'm doubting that I have time for it - I have a small person's birthday party to organise this weekend, and the wife's birthday next week - that's why I'm up after midnight... Have to get up fpr work in about 6 hours

Looking much better. Better than my go at the style was.

    You can do it!

Thanks Daistallia, I intend to try and give it a good go anyway!

Oh wow, what an improvement on the water. This is looking really good, one of my favourites in the challenge, I appreciate a clean style and I can’t wait to see this one finished.

I am really liking the style here. I have to ask though what are the numbers in the water? Depth?

    This is looking really good!

One minor point, there is a depth sounding at the 0 (zero) end of the meter scale and the result is a strange glyph.
