It'd be nice to have the main 'official' challenge but maybe to also do a side one as well.
I'd probably do both, if we did that.

I think the birthday challenge should not have a vote. Everyone that contributes a completed entry gets a birthday badge.

Yeah, I agree. I can try to put together a B-day badge, or I can open a thread like I did for the annual badge.
Maybe I'll do that. Have to be tomorrow or monday.

A little under 10 hours left to vote (I think)! Any last-minute undecideds, now's the time.

And I agree; there should be no vote on this. Anyone that finishes an entry is awesome.

And we have a winner! Whew, last time I checked this it was still tied.

OK, the CLs are still hammering out the details, but here's roughly what will happen.

We're looking to start on 1st April and will run till 1st May. Robbie will provide the landmass and everyone will be allocated a square. I believe (though I'll need to confirm) that everyone's square should be designed to a particular size, but we'll update on this. We were tentatively thinking around 1500x1500px but that's NOT decided yet, so wait for more info.

We had 23 votes in the poll. Does everyone who voted still want to be included, even if your choice didn't win? If you don't want to take part, let us know. Also, even if you didn't vote and you DO want to take part, you're more than welcome. All members of all skill levels are welcome to take part. Just let us know (I'm trying to work out how many squares we're going to need.)

We'll post again in the next couple of days once the details are finalised, but clear April in your calendars. Bring on the cake!!

EDIT: Dammit, I forgot about daylight savings time kicking in. The poll now closes an hour later than it told me originally, and I see it still has about 45mins to run! Oops! Oh well, still time to swing things if you haven't yet voted.

Ok, so I'm going to be doing the landmass...should I be doing a whole world? or just a single continent/multiple continents? Should I include some geographic features so the maps go together well?
