I have the bridge surface at -8.45 meters (from "ground" level which I have at 0 z level) and the water surface at -60 meters.

Also I'm nearly done moving so should have more time for this project relatively soon, after of course working on the Battleship lite-challenge.

Looking forward to see what you do Ilanthar.

Thanks! I've done the land profile and a few buildings.

Irritatingly I had some of the buildings set not to render when I did the ISO shot. And it takes a few hours to render, so I'll post this for now:

It also appears I have to redo some of the texturing.... I keep getting distracted by big buildings which take a quite a few hours as opposed to the simple buildings which take maybe one or two.

    OMGoodness!

    Totally and overpoweringly awesome!

I love the angled views, and would love to see a fly-through when its finished, but I expect that would take a few days to render, knowing Blender!

Unbelievable, these views of the district! What a work on 3D! Realism is truly perfect, it's like this part of the city is real ! Congratulations!

    Thanks Jo and Mouse.

Mouse I'm definitely planning a walk or fly through when I'm done. I'll probably render it at 640 though, and it will probably take a very long time even then, a day or two I'd imagine. Or more, I may have to calculate how long it would take once I know how many frames it will be and then maybe set up a dedicated computer to render it.

Holy cow this is awesome. Great work Falconius. I haven't seen this until now. For some reason it reminds me of the Myst games

    Cheers,

True that most of the space is still to be filled, but the buildings you already produced are just amazing. Simple houses will probably be much faster.

It's looking great and we'll all get there.
("there" being "some sort of final product for our own section, so that a global guild city map comes into existence")
