I started creating the swamp textures for the submerged areas.swamp-textures.jpg
Well, guess I can get involved in this challenge as I missed the previous one by a day.
I am transforming the map from CM 9 Legacy of Blood into a battlemap. The first thing to do was to create quick land mask based on the original map.

That is on its way to being so unexciting that I had to go a bit further and create a basic heightmap. I used Wilbur to toss together some quick mounds and reverse mound for the main depths of the swamp.

A biut further along. I've added froggy pads, grasas, and ground clutter. I mocked in the small tower in the center of the map as well.

This is coming together nicely. I really like the effect you've used on the islands, gives the water a terrific sense of depth. Can't wait to see the end result.

Alright, there is the tower, levels, and labeling. I wanted to preserve the feel of a classic D&D module, so I incorporated some plain old fonts and coloring for the borders.
Thoughts?
Nice work, I like how you used the border to show the tower levels.

I'd second Bogie's comment about the tower levels. Nice way to incorporate more detail without distracting from the main map.
I would not like to cross that swamp...!
