Thanks Bogie! Had a lot of fun with my non-entry I hope people join the Lite Challenge more even though they do not qualify, it's a cool place to challenge yourself.

And well done for those who completed their maps! Both came out nicely.

P.S. The mountain pass challenge is definitely one to do somewhere on the Golden Challenge.

Great maps Simkin & Turambar. Tough choice as both are really good. Simkin's map is very interesting and has a lot of cool detail and Turambar's map is very nice looking and well designed.
In the end it came down to I really like color over B&W. Totally a personal preference, many people love B&W maps.

I agree, these maps are both excellent maps. I chose Turambar's because I felt it better exemplified a "mountain pass" whereas Simkin's felt more like a "mountain fort" even though I really liked how functionally useful Simkin's was. If there were more options I would have voted for both. Also, voting for Simkin would disqualify Simkin from future silver compasses.

Congrats Turambar for the silver compass and thanks for the rep everybody. I really enjoied doing the map and I'm now developing the idea making detailed maps of the valley and the structures in there.
