Okay, here's my latest dungeon design.

I imagine the Traps at area 15 to be flames/fireballs that shoot across the corridor. The sigil in are 22 could be just a painting or mosaic on the floor or perhaps it is a magical portal to the elemental plane of water, or the location of a water elemental, or even an entrance to an underground river/lake.

Depending on the DM's mood, the pit trap in area 25b could be easier to detect because the blood has seeped into the cracks of the pit, or it could be harder to detect because the blood is obscuring any evidence of the trap.

In the lower temple (area 52), I envision the entrance to the side caves (area 53) is obscured (due to a trick of the lighting and/or architecture) until a character goes towards the altar. The entrance could be treated as a concealed door if one was so inclined.
    Cheers,
    Tim

I whipped up another dungeon map. I picture this one as a tomb or a crypt (obviously the final decision is with the DM). I've included two colour versions (the plain one and a printer-friendly one), plus the standard black & white version.

I really like the white space there...so often people forget that the negative space in an image can serve as much of a function as all of the stuff we put into it...plus it saves ink Good job my man.

Thanks guys. To save on ink was my primary reason for the white space but I also like the look of it. BTW nice new avatar there, Ascension.

Yeah I like both of your new ones - might be time to spice mine up a bit. Maybe for the Fourth of July

SG, are you going to put a big firecracker between its steel jaws for the 4th of July? <j/k>

Anything is possible at this point, but it might look to much like TrapJaw from He-Man if I did that.

    Wip

This is a work in progress. I'm experimenting with a new look/technique. I drew the scroll by hand and scanned it into the computer. The colours and affects are still in an experimental stage.
