    Default Apple's Continental Map

Okay comrades, so below you can find my maps, but please read what I'm going to say.

I've always been into the Zelda Franchise, and, roughly a year ago, I came across
Hyrule Total War. The creator, Undying Nephalim, had created a fan game (Mod)
in which dozens of Zelda elements were combined. It made for a great story.

And I thought. This series needs a story and,,, a map!
So I went to create this map (6 by 6 A4's).
I also thought-out the whole story, and yep, it's based on Zeldaaaaa.

The whole map, story and many many names and things were created by me alone.
But there's also some Zelda and Total War elements and names included.
I'm planning on writing an eight books long series based on the story and the
map, so yeah...quite long heh? 23 POV characters now...
You'll notice btw that Ikana is pretty much Greece and Anatolia, I just love
the maps of these two countries, couldn't resist it.
I've also created a B map for the country because maybe people don't like it?

The Green Hell is a jungle in the southeast. I found out not long ago that
this place already exists in Sothoryos (GoT). It's an annoying coincidence really....

I also found out that the Sea of Storms already exists in the WoT, Idk what to do.
I could change it into the Sea of Gales/Cyclones or the Whirlwind Sea.
Don't have a big problem with that.

I'll post all the names written on my map tomorrow, at least the numbers.
It's a damned work, about 550 cities alone lol.
I'll also upload some more pics cuz I've seen that the east isn't
    entirely on the pics.

    Anyways, enjoy my maps.

PS: My story takes place on two continents, of which this is the first.
I'm already working on the second one, which is gonna be as big as this one.
To Undying Nephalim: Great that you're fine with my story and maps, your
series are awesome and so is Zeldaaa.

    Hi Apple!
You have made a great work! I really like it.
But alas... the low image resolution of those photos doesn't do enough to show off your huge work.
If you're interested in showing more, you could consider to scan each single A4 sheet, and then reassemble the whole map in a graphics software.
By the way, have some rep for all that.

How have you managed to get the pieces so cohesive? When I tried, I made three bits but the 4th just wouldn't line up properly. It was difficult to keep the same scale consistent

    Thx both of you!
Yeah ikr, I really need to get some better resolution.

The sticking together of this shizzle was the hardest, most annoying part Coldyham!
I needed my sister to hold them together, than I used ''tape'' to stick them together.

I made a Google sheets of all my cities and towns (>1000 pop or otherwise significant), with names, population, leader, quests around etc. Only had 116 though, so you might have a harder task of it with 423+
Also waterfalls. Always wanted to plan out where they are for dramatic reasons. Good memorable landmark for continuity

I'm wondering if your latest posts really belong to a finished map thread... Maybe you might want to open a new thread about your worlbuilding in an more appropriate sub-forum.

Also, this is MINE, I have proof hhehehehehehee. was so protective, and now it's online.........
Most of these names can't be copyrighted or stolen since they are generic ones.
Other than that, I don't understand the point of making this list (here) especially since it lacks the indications where they are located on the map.

One cannot copyright names or titles. Ever. The best you could hope for is a trademark, and that's something that costs quite a bit to establish and defend, and would only apply to a single prominent phrase or term.

Also, one should always take care before accusing anyone of "stealing" a name of a character or place. Nobody here is making such an accusation, but it should be noted that there is a massive amount of cross-pollination of names and terms floating through our culture. One can often come up with a name and not remember the inspiration behind it. There are endless cases of convergent creativity, where two people come up with the same name for something completely separately, never having known of the other's existence.

That said, many of us have seen blatant examples of copying, where someone obviously and shamelessly cribbed a bunch of names from a single source and put them in a book, or on a map. Our only recourse in such a situation is to stand together as a community and express our disapproval, labeling the miscreant as someone untrustworthy and ethically dubious. It's a lot like the way the stand-up comedy community polices the issue of joke stealing -- a guy like Carlos Mencia gets a very bad reputation and people refuse to work or associate with him.
