Glad to see you back to mapping this world!

-I agree in that it could probably use more rivers, minor ones.
-Also agree about the sea. It seems too uniform. What about emphasizing more the difference between the coastal shelves and the deeps? Since this isn't really an atlas style that may not work, but I can't think of anything else to help right now.

Looking good, love the colors of the mountains. The sea might not be a problem once you add labels, a key, compass rose, etc. Maybe sketch those in and then see if it needs anything.
Great job, love the shape of the mountains too.

Are you not going to use the pattern for the sea here as before?

@Diamond : I'm glad we agree ! I'll add some minor rivers. Good idea for the sea, I've done this test.
@Snodsy : thanks, that's quite true. I do plan to add some elements. The thing is that I wanted to do something different than my usual maps and still be consistent with the world map.
@J.Edward : No, I wanted something else... and ended with that last test, which is also a sea pattern somehow!
What do you think? Not too crowded?

The mountains are more beautifull when knowing they are done with a mouse. For the sea, i'll go deeper on texturing with a bluer colour.

This map is looking great Ilanthar! I think the ocean texture works well, a little heavy perhaps compared to the 'empty' lands, but once you starts drawing forests and cities and what not I don't think it will be an issue

    Well, that's a question of practice, I suppose. It's easier now, and I have a kind hard-working mouse .
I'm not sure to catch your meaning. Paint the waves in blue?

@DanielHasenbos : thanks, I intend to put a lot of things indeed. Too much maybe, we will see.

    I added some secondary rivers

Letting aside the sea/coasts, I could'nt resist to do a test for forests. I largely took inspiration from Dain's work on Tanaephis for this. Not sure of the color/shades though.

Looks great so far Ilanthar. Not fully convinced by the forests but knowing it's done with mouse, I can't critic that much.

Thanks Max! But please, don't restrain yourself : I need critics. Plus, my mouse and I, we can take any critic !

Even if I'm drawing it by mouse, I could certainly use some guidance. I've done a different test with the forest, but I'm still not quite satisfied...
