I think I'm not yet finished, so I'd like to hear from you, what you like / dislike / would change.

This was made in Photoshop with my Mouse only and no drawing tablet. Because I can't draw sh**.

It's a world map for a Dieselfantasy roleplaying setting I'm working on, called Dieseldrachen. (=Dieseldragons) It's basically your LOTR / WoW fantasy world gone 1930s. Or as I like to call it: Shadowrun 1926
Think orcs with Pickelhauben, elves with Zeppelins and biplanes with dragons.

Please excuse the very unrealistic scaling. I know it should be bigger.

Enjoy and go easy on me
    Best,
    Merkenau

Its awesome to see the progress that you have done in the past years, thanks for sharing this with us, you have improved a lot indeed! Which program are you using to create this map? Also, I´m looking forward to see how will the ocean end, keep it up and nice work!

Thank you both for your kind words! To be fair: I had a little extra training with Photoshop aside from maps. Once I felt secure with the program, the mapmaking got better by itself.

I'm using Photoshop with lots and lots of layers of different textures: parchment, grass, moss etc. with different opacities and curves.

It kind of was finished. But now I have to reconsider.

just doing some thread necromancy as I have created a new version of this map! I think it's super interesting how this thing continues to grow. Super happy with how it turned out!

Nice work on this! Great to see how you're continuing to work on the map over the years. I like the new version a lot. Have some rep.

What a wonderful map, after your many improving iterations! I really like how well laid out and clear it looks. With fantasy maps there's a lot of commentary suggesting different zones/biomes should be colour blended, but this shows when it's done well, it's can be better without the blend. Nice.
