I try quick sketchy things that don't take as much time to test.
That's part of why I do those quick ridge line things - even if I were to go with iso, they still help define where all the ranges are.
I'm sitting around today doing my taxes and trying to plan out roads/routes and maybe some regions or states within this country.
I still haven't decided on the level of tech or the main cultural elements.
My little dialogue with Tonnichiwa sort of says some about those things.

I might go with a sort of pseudo-renaissance level of tech and culture... not sure yet though.
Might even do a few simple city maps for some of the important cities

I didn't have much time so far today to work on this - what with taxes and big map corrections and names and flags and new land masses and... and...
But anyway, I started to try to get some territories or states in there and some tentative roads/routes.
Might have some time tonight to do some more.
I saw Max on here for a mere moment... thought maybe things were going to start across the sea... alas, no.

Looks great!...Sorry, I put the lake you have drawn in yours a little farther down and in a mountain valley. It is supposed to be sort of like Lake Chelan in Washington State.

Not a problem
Anything I have on my map - just think of it like my people are speculating on foreign realms that they haven't surveyed.
That should explain away any inconsistencies.

A whole bunch of giant countries who never take the liberty to explore at all outside of their boundaries.. intresting...

More pixels is always useful. Are the green dotted lines borders for provinces or something (Canada sized provinces )

They may get subdivided into smaller regions... not sure yet

Nice. I like the place names. I have always had a hard time with more realistic place names. So I can come up with things like " The burning mountains" or " The Seraphim Sea"

But I have a hard time with things like what you've done here. I love it, great job! And thanks for updating that. It's nice to see how my neighbors are getting along.
