Map 25 – The Kingdom in the clouds

Way late to the party here, but that farmland (as well as the whole rest of the map) looks great! I think I like the style you have in the northwestern bit of the crop you posted, it's a little bit simpler and less "noisy".

I think at the end of this we are going to need a tutorial for those farm lands. Very detailed in the context of this map.

I was wondering because that's actually just the fields delimitation. So, if it does look better it means I could save a lot of time.
I do admit that the others look a bit messy in comparison.

By the way, that area in green is about 15 000km2.

Yes, that's the one! The others look rather "furry" in comparison. I live in a country of rice fields, and (assuming thats what you were intending those crops to be), that's almost exactly what they look like from above- pretty featureless in the middle, with low ridges in between individual paddies. Obviously if that's 15,000 km2 it wouldn't be a to-scale representation though :-)

Yes this region staple crop is rice.
I was wondering if the field colours were alright? I did fiddle a bit and here an alternative using only 3 greens.



Actually, the reason I did that was because the original file got corrupted. Happily, I did made a back up 2 weeks ago when I started working on Photoshop instead of Illustrator. That was a good thing but I did lost some of the work done during these 2 weeks. Now, I'LL make a copy at the end of each day I'm working on the map.

I have several concerns about the map for the moment. One of them is about the farms, I'm still on the fence.
I look at the different tests I've made and I fell that a ''line heavy'' style like number 5 might be more appropriate.
Also, I planned to add a bunch of different crops but still haven't decided which one(s) to exclude.

I dunno what to say to you about the farmlands but concerning the map, you're a mad man ! But in a good way, the map is magnificent !!

That is a really wonderful variety of fields Azelor.
I like most all of them. I like 5... but also 1 and 4.
This has so much wonderful detail in it
That forest fire and the burned trees is nice.
Oh, and I just saw the field fire too.
This is going to be one of the most thorough maps of a region.
I applaud all this work you're doing Azelor.
