This looks very nice so var Clericon. I especially like the line work on the forests.

    Cheers,

Definitely progressing nicely Clercon. It'll be good to see you play around with the colours!

Your linework is very good indeed, particularly as Arsheesh said on the treelines, but also in all the little details you've scattered throughout!

Thanks everyone for the nice words. Hopefully I can get a small update of the map tomorrow.

Well my next update took a bit longer then expected
Anyway here is the updated map, not too much left to draw now, I'm actually seeing the end of the inking. It has taken a while and since this is something I do between Commissions and other Projects (like renovating my house) I never get the time I want for it. Still the ipad works fantastically and there are no real lag at all. It is really smooth to draw and copy and paste works great. The only drawback with drawing this big on the ipad is that you only get 7 layers to work with. So you really have to plan on how you use them. On the plus side you don't end up wit a zillion layers you have no control of, which tends to happen when I'm using Photoshop

    Thanks for the comment Tom,
Here is also a sample of the map in full resolution. So you can get an idea of what the end result will be.

Really nice work, the forest edges are really well done and the layout should be really interesting to see come together, nice job, looking forward to seeing how you handle the 7 layers limit, don't think I could do that. My last map had over 50.

Yes the 7 layer limit will be a challenge. I will probbaly flatten all the ink layers into one layer when I'm done inking. At the moment they are around 3-4 layers depending on what I'm doing. So if the ink is one layer, background image is on one layer that will give me five layers for colouring. Should work....I hope

So another update. I'm nearly done with the inking now. Not much left. Tried to add in some colours and that worked really well. I'm using the water colour brush in procreate and I think it is really nice. So far it is only base colours. Later on I have to go over the whole map putting in details etc.
Also it seems that the 7 layer restriction is gone. I'm using 8 layers at the moment, will try later how many layers I can add. They've probably added in support for more layers in a patch.
The colouring worked really smooth and there was no lag at all
