    Looks great! I'd probably try to lighten the grid to be just dark enough for mechanics, but light enough that is doesn't pop at all. I don't know if you've added a bump & drop shadow to it, but that can help too! I play with the opacity and the layer mode on my grids (1 layer for land grids, another for water grids) to get it to blend in as best as I can while still being usable.

    And thanks for sharing the mini tutorial on the water! I definitely plan on trying that out!!

    Wow, the shadows on the cave walls are really really good now.
