My first map with GIMP
That's my very first GIMP made map. I know there isn't much there, but then again it's desert so not too much to show.
It misses a legend at least. But I would like to hear any suggestions or feedback.
Basically I thought that the northern coast would be able to grow wheat, olives and maybe wine. But the in-lands and south would be mainly desert areas.
The icons I used are from different websites, city and village icons are from http://captscott.deviantart.com/art/...k-01-191047320 and tent icon is a re-colored version from https://openclipart.org/detail/11434...ls-circus-tent. The palm is a recolored version of https://thenounproject.com/term/palm/51048/.
I am wondering what you think about the texture and coloring of the ground? I took inspiration from this tutorial https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ead.php?t=1142, but probably missed few steps here and there and then had to do loads of "adjustments" cos my map didn't look anything like the tutorial.
