Thread: Vodya : testing my new tablet!

Default Vodya : testing my new tablet!

I've received my new tablet today (Intuos Art medium). And I'm gladly testing it along with testing Krita (which is much more appropriate than my usual PSP7)!

This my first test, I chose a region of my Agartha world and try a few mountains. Let me know what you think (and don't be kind with the noob )!

    Yay! Happy new tablet, Ilanthar.

Given the quality of work you've produced with a mouse over the years, I can't wait to see what you do with a tablet. And it seems that you're off to a very nice start!

    Nice! Those mountains look great.
I CANNOT believe you did all those amazing maps with a mouse before. Can't wait to see what you can do with a tablet.

    EDIT: ChickPea ninja posted.

    Ahah , thank you both!
Please, don't set your expectations too high... I find it quite strange to draw with a tablet right now, and I think I'll need practice to just do something similar of what I used to do with my mouse.

I think you'll get used to it quickly.
And then we will see even more awesome Ilanthar maps. And I look forward to that.

Shading looks good. Be curious to here your thoughts on Krita. I'm having a bit of a love-hate relationship with it right now myself.

    Cheers,

I agree with John, you quickly adapt yourself to these beauties and given what you usually produce, we'll see some awesome maps soon and many of them as you'll do them way more quickly than with a mouse The tests are promising !

PS : si tu as une source pour le parchemin, je suis preneur

Right now, I'm discovering it, so hard to say yet. But sure !

Je vais regarder, en espérant avoir bien noter cela. Je l'ai retouché et c'est le même que Arsheesh a utilisé pour sa guildworld map.

A few more tests, mainly about forests...

Both style show promise. The shaggy strokes work well with the upper one but I thing you'll need more define strokes for the second.
