I always hated caterpillar style mountains until I saw you're Atlantide maps and now I'm tempted to try them myself...The map looks great and that link you posted for inspiration is really cool too, I wonder how they got the paper to bevel like that.

Same interrogation for me. That bevel is nice and I struggle to imitate it...

Nice shading! The render is excellent. I'm not so fond of the many coastal rings... but it may look cool depending of where you're going with it.

Agreed for the coastal rings. Used for making a fuzzy sea.

Her is an update with almost all the relief done.
To do list : relief of the city inset, forest of the major map, coloration and landscape of the insets, mountains profiles, labels...

That's amazingly beautiful ! I know it's not the style you're after but I'd love to see something similar showing the depth of the sea (steupléééééé !). Some sort of Tharp map Warlin style

Warlin, if I wore a hat I would doff it to you, sir. This map (series) just keeps getting better and better - I love almost everything about it. Well... that's a lie. I love EVERYTHING about it.

Thanks for the kind words and your support. A very little update this time. I have trouble (as always...) with choosing colors. After some test including bright ones and gradients (not convincing at all), i decide to come back to my first test.
Here is the beast, which i have a lot of difficulty to kill .

After all, why not show you my other test ?
