OMG! Just look at all that tiny detail!

How big is the original, Jo?

I'm assuming that you are reducing it to upload it to the Guild. I really cannot imagine you drawing all these tiny tiny figures at the scale I can see them when I look at your map here.

And how patient you are to take the time to draw each and every one of them that way - hundreds of men and machines.

    I'm totally stunned!!!

    Thanks Mouse !

The original size is A3, at 600 dpi.

For the guild, I downsize it at 300 dpi.

Thems some serious siege works going on there. I am assuming you have different points of time represented on the same map? If so I think that's a pretty interesting and cool way of handling the various stages. Looks great, can't wait to see it coloured.

    Thanks !

It's exactly as you say : different point of time, all described in the banner on the bottom part of the drawing, with labels on the drawing. All the stages of the siege are described (I already started with three events). I hope it will be understandable (?)

Wow! That's still very tiny, and I'm still pretty stunned! LOL!

I'm loving everything about this. Even the incomplete paint job, my brain fills in how the rest of the place should look. The guests with their various siege engines, the storming of the first bridge barbican, the siege itself. It all has a brilliant story and the fact that after the bridge, the first gates, the gates into the first stronghold and then to get into the keep area are going to take so many casualties, to send some poor hapless souls up the latrines!

I guess it's all worth it though, if Hadleigh is one of those places that has a price to pay for safe passage.

Wow... That's fantastic, JO. I love the many details of the siege camp and the way you did the waters. Great, great map.

Thanks a lot you all for your support !
I think it's going not too bad.... I coloured most of the castle ... and I tomorrow, I'll colour the assailant camp and the armies... It takes a lot of time, but I'm comitted to finish the map before the end of the year
