Thread: [WIP] Daxtera - World Map

    Wow I just took a look at your recent post here. This is one fine map. I especially like how the mountains are txtured and how the blend into the flatter terrain!

    Well, I guess I'm not done with this map after all. Resurrecting it to make a bunch of changes/fixes:

    - Major topology additions (especially the mountainous region in the top center area)
    - Adding more rivers
    - Making major additions to the towns/roads present on the map
    - Removing a few areas that were specific to prebuilt D&D campaigns that I would rather replace with my own worldbuilding
    - Much more variance in terrain color
    - Will eventually completely redo the framing elements/crests/main badge

    Really nice realistic style! Glad you posted this new version after all these years. Are the mountains based on real world DEMs? They look quite good.

    Thank you! And yes, I'm using sources from the Shaded Relief Archive.
