    Maps?

Oh yeah, that's the part of cartography when the pubs are closed and people draw things. Usually to remember where the pubs are

On my first trip to the UK (I feel like that was before the internet really was a thing) I ran into a fellow who had one page left from his travel guide. He had been tossing aside countries from Let's Go Europe and all that was left was the page of pubs in London. We tried to make a plan that would encompass them all in one evening. I'm sure that's where my love of cartography started.

I'm a huge fan of Lankhmar, which I think is the near-unpronounceable nonsense that Terry Pratchett was parodying, so kind of by default I'm a fan of Ankh-Morpork, The Weasel and Bravd, et. al. And your map is a great take on this challenge, nice work!

    Cheers,
    Meshon

Thanks Meshon! I'd sort of lost a bit of enthusiasm for mapping recently but this challenge has gotten me back into the spirit of having fun and trying new things. I've been learning how to use paths in GIMP and that's how I've done my streets - I've pathed out the roads and used stroke and then stroked again but smaller so it gives a border with the middle colour. I'm still learning but I'm having fun at the same time.
