Cave under a dockside warehouse

This is a cave. It's under a warehouse located by the docks. Down into the Underdark.

I'm having problems with the hole in the center. The idea is that the hole is a long drop into the Underdark. I want to invoke endless depths, but what I'm seeing is a bunch of black space that looks like a mistake.

Suggestions?

I see your problem ... try drawing the top of the hole and then let it go to pitch black as you go further down, that way you see that there are walls in the beginning.

Like you've already done with the waterfall - show the wall as it disappears
