Dorag Skel Ruins - Dungeon Level 1

Hi Folks,

Over on G+ one of the chaps posted some small random dungeons created using the tables found in the appendix of the D&D 5E dungeon Masters Guide. So, me being me, thought I'd have a go...

Here is the result, the scanned sketch took about 2 hours rolling, drawing and inking and the preliminary, partial line work in Ai CS4 took about 1.5 hours. I'm going to import this to Ps CS4 using the Ai line work to create a path that I can then use for prettying up and putting the grid etc, in the same style as my Blackfang and Crypt of the Witch King O.P.D entry maps. The finished map will end up about 43" x 62". 1 square on the sketch = 10 feet and I'm doing the digital map at the same scale with 1" squares.

I intend to use this for the Dorag Skel ruins Dungeon Level 1 (from the Crypt of the Witch King O.P.D. entry).

Suggestions and critique always welcome.

Hi Folks,

I've done the walls & grid. Started to add some doors and stairs at this stage. For those that are interested, the shading on the stairs that lead to level 2 was done by selecting the stairwell and adding a gradient fill, I think t looks pretty good. I did make an error initially with the big-ish room in the middle and made it too big so the passage leading off the stairwell down to the sub-level room didn't line up...

Hi Folks,

Been doing a bit of work on this and Map A, Dungeon Level 1 of the Dorag Skel ruins is nearing completion, all that's really required now is a key I think. A lot of rooms are bare so GM's can dress them with whatever dastardly tricks, traps, puzzles and encounters take their fancy.

I have started pencilling Map B which carries on from the Northern corridors/rooms.

As usual, all comments, suggestions, critiques welcome.

Hi Folks,

I'm tempted to put this in the finished maps forum but every time I do someone makes a comment or suggestion or whatever to improve it and so it isn't really the finished version.

Anyhow, here is my finished version, if you have any thoughts regarding this map please let me know.
