Really nice work, could see this as one for many others to color, would be fun to do! Nice job.

Beautiful idea, I like it a lot! Are you aware there is a thing - an Pen-&-Paper RPG - called RATS! in which you usually play a rat? You should look into it and write them, maybe they are interested =)

    Very jealous, that is insane.

Is it an isometric grid you followed and then edited out?

    Thanks for the kind words

Snodsy - I agree color would really work with this one. It could be used to give it more depth that the lines can't provide. I may actually color it...

Steffen just checked out RATS. I had heard of it but now I am even more inrigued. I think I will FB message them. My portfolio is actually VFX cg. This stuff I do for fun.

Adventure Depot - I drew a few key direction lines and just hand drew it after that. I used a triangle ruler with a 30 degree angle. I actually got myself in trouble for a bit. I wasn't so careful and the perspective was broken but I found a way to fix it. Also the craziness of the buildings helps cover any mistakes

It's a really nice illustration. Sort of reminds me of Blight Town too... if you like to terrify people.

Incredible perspective and linework! I can see that much skill went into this.
Poor ratfolk though... It doesn't look like a very happy city.
    Beautiful job with this!

I got to work today after working past midnight the night before on this one. I have a drawing hang over... so sleepy.

Thanks! Yes I imagine it isn't the best place to live. Story wise I was thinking that the ratfolk have a fatalistic approach to life. When the catfolk raid their city and take their friends and family they see it as the way of the universe. They don't fight back. They just have more children.
