Awesome... One (of the numerous) thing I admire with your work is the way you manage to "blend" your gorgeous illustrations and the map proper... Out of curiosity, how did you chose to put the map diagonally? It proves very efficient.

Absolutely gorgeous! And thanks for sharing the pics of the maps in the book. They look amazing.

I've unfortunately burned my repping powers on the challenge entries today, but I'll come back.

Thank you for sharing. I've always enjoyed maps in books, it somehow made the story more tangible. Readers of Toby's Journey will feel as if they walk alongside him with such illustrations you've added.

    Thanks Ilanthar
I had a lot of tral that I needed to show and diagonal allowed me to show it closer in than horizontally.
Plus it had the added benefit of giving me more room for illustrations. And also just looked better.

You're welcome Gremlin and thank you for commenting.
That is one thing that is really rewarding when doing some of my work - the knowledge that one of my maps might be the thing that really sticks in a kid's mind after reading a story they like.
I had loads of those memories of cool maps and great stories. It's cool to be a part of that.
