Even though this is a 2 month 'Diamond special', you will find time slipping past quite quickly, so even if you aren't completely satisfied with the ocean part of it, why not get a head start on the forests and buildings and revisit the ocean later? Having it 3/4 done half way through is a huge boost - as opposed to only having done the ocean at the half way mark.

    Advice taken! Thanks you two.

Okay, the textures is on the back burner then, and so I moved on to the important stuff. The campaign starter buildings and my trader hub buildings. It took me most of the day, but, it was fun nonetheless. Better to get the hard stuff out of the way first. (This is just a few of the buildings I worked on today.)

The weird building at the bottom is for the time being a Hunters Lodge, where they used the extremely hard carapace of a giant worm to make the building. Then at the top is what I hope to be my campaign starter building. So I hope it was worth the effort.

NOTHING is positioned as it will be, the current placement of the buildings is just proof of concept.

Question Trees and a bigger list of buildings for test ;)

    Hi everone!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

So, in this run, I placed all of the buildings I have so far. LIKE BEFORE, this is NOT the layout, but just a test of the buildings.

On the right side is most of the buildings I have so far. And the middle is most of the mirrors (I'll tweak them, if I get the chance). I am still wondering about the scale. I'm not sure how big I should make the buildings in a Harbour city.

(On the left, however, is a few buildings that the perspective feel too wonky, so for now, they are left out.)

    --
On to my first pass at the trees. I tried something here. I've never done pine trees before. And I felt they would fit a creepy forest better. I ONLY created a few trees for an experiment, so IF they work, I will create a big pool of trees to make into brushes.

    --
Let me know your thoughts. (And thank you so much for the feedback so far, it helps give me the right questions to ask myself. )

    Have a lovely day,
    Omri

    Well, I felt inspired.

So, I created 7 more trees(apart from the other trees I did earlier) and tried my creepy forest out.
(The buildings are still the TEST from the previous post.)

I am, however, a little bit stuck on how to plan the layout for this type of city. Hmmm... *scratches head*

Wip Insignia and the mysterious door! Huhuhu. :P

    Helloooo!

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Today I was inspired by a question, and again my battle with borders. Hehe, what came out instead was an ever present mysterious door off to the left, which the town folk choose to ignore mostly.

Also, I started with the insignia of Darkwood Harbour, which I'm really stoked about. Apart from the banner holding Nessa'Mor's name, though that is not an Insignia for the city, this is my first crack at one. Yays!

    Anyway, have a lovely day,
    Omri

Handsome trees, XCali - good colour on those

Did you not like the buildings you drew?

And does the insignia have a story behind it?
