Map August/September 2017 Challenge: Darkwood Harbour

Yay! First time trying a challenge map!

    And quite an interesting theme.

Okay, just saying. I'm still pondering the name. The given one is working so far. But, if I think of a better one, I would like to update it, if that is possible?

Now on to the mapping details.
    I opted for:

    REGULAR CHALLENGES-
1-Trading (In reading it through quite a few times, I settled on either a 'Trading Building' or a 'Trading Ship')
2-In the Beginning: A Campaign Starter
    LITE CHALLENGES-
    3-Fun With Isometrics

Depending on the answer I get to how I need to do the trading, I will either create a mini map of said Trading Building/the Trading Ship, OR I will flesh out my docks to be as trady as possible in ISO.

Um, question, do I need to attach the map EVERY time with "Manage attachments" section, or can I just "Insert Image"? (I understand the WIP tag.)

    Looks interesting

Just use the insert image button. I do. I think you only have problems doing that if you have your account settings a bit different to the default ones (I seem to remember Red saying something too complicated for me to understand about it all once upon a time)

    Thanks,
I was just asking because I read something in how this challenge thread works. But, if Insert Image is fine, then awesome.

    Hehe.

Nah, it said something about clearly defined city layout or whatever and so I decided against it. I might have read it wrong, but the trading is more straightforward, even though it would be a first for me

Wip Trying out my land textures :P

Okay, this is just me testing out my land textures. The top one is going to be darker with the actual ominous wood being up there. But, for now, I just tried the lighter version out. (I will overlay the cliffs later on.)

I did touch up the coast for the time being and added a possible sea texture.

Anyway, I'd like to know your thoughts.

Those cliffs are looking good. It's hard to work out at this stage what scale you're going with. I'm keen to see where you take this idea.

As Wingshaw said, its a bit hard to say anything just yet until you make the scale clearer by adding a bit more to the map
