The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

My name is Karolina, I usually go by nick Sirielle online (though people from Baldur's Gate modding communities - from years ago - might remember me as Hathor). I am new to the forums, though I know the Cartographers' Guild for a while. I believe search for tutorials brought me here, also I'm a not so active member of your deviantART group. While occasionally I do work on maps, I am a digital painter, focused on portraits and illustrations. Most of my works are related to The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, and so are my maps ATM. I have added my finished map to my profile gallery here (it is also on the forums), my other works can be found in various galleries online, including Artstation, deviantART and my homepage. While I learn map making from tutorials and on my own mistakes I hope discussing things with you will make the learning process better
