    Default I love maps

I've always loved maps. I've also always been playing RPGs (for about 40 years off and on), and lately I've realized that I love RPGs for two reasons: Piquing the imagination, and as an excuse to draw maps, diagrams, and other creative assets.

I'm not sure why I'm here, but I happened across the Cartographer's Guild twitter feed and it was filled with beautiful maps and I wouldn't mind seeing more of that

Imo, all good adventures begin with a map.

Welcome to the Guild Drew! I really like your system for generating land masses. In addition to the beautiful maps, you'll also find a really friendly and helpful community.

Are you mostly doing hand-drawn maps, or using software?
And thanks for sharing a map right from the start!
    Cheers,
    Meshon

I use pen, pencil & bristol for my hand drawn maps mostly, although I've done some Traveller maps on the computer. I'm interested in the random/procedural maps that are interesting and realistic enough to create their own stories.

Coins is a good method for random landmass. I've used crumpled up pieces of paper before and it is somewhat too complicated. I'll have to remember this way next time I need some random stuff.

The map you posted there looks great, I hope to see some more work from you.

    Welcome!

I like the thing with coins. As one that finds RPGs' fascinating, I hope you enjoy your journey with the guild.
