    Default The Yawning Isles

Whilst I'm at it, I also forgot to post the my entry to the previous double month challenge into the Finished Map section.

I was a little late to starting this one, but was happy with where it ended up, even if I was a little tired by the end.

Did you just change your name or am I just really confused and imagining things?

That is a splendid map, Greg!

    Oh yes!

I call you Greg anyway because that's the name on your maps, so I hadn't noticed, but you used to be GLS!

    (0/10 for observation here! LOL!)

Its a really well drawn map - very clean and precise, and all the more surprising since you didn't really start it till the last few days, if I remember correctly

Haha, yep, I used to be GLS, but regretted choosing that name from pretty much the start, so thought since a lot know me by Greg already, it may as well be my username.

Also, thanks for the nice comments!

Same for this one, I don't know if I had already commented on this, but I love the look of it. It looks very elegant and simple, with some very interesting features. I love the cartouche for the title and town map.

Thanks, Dan! The cartouche came out pretty well in the end and I think this is about the only time I've ever actually ended up not overcomplicating everything in a map!

Clean, elegant and wit great landshapes. It kinda reminds me of a Diamond's map in some way. Great job, Greg!

I love this style of antique map, and this one's gorgeous. I think if I had to nitpick, I'd say the large labels could perhaps do with a teeny bit more contrast to boost them off the page, but I can also see how that might overwhelm the smaller labels. So, em, as you were...!

    Love, love, love the cartouche!

@ChickPea, yeah I know what you mean about the labels!
