Started colouring the border, and begun the highlights, though I didn't get too far in all those rocks. I'm not sure how to do the trees, I'm thinking I may just bump up the colour jitter and see what comes of it.

The colors are making the frame even better
I indeed think you have to be careful with the shades/highlights in the center part, it's quite clear already.
The left part of the trees is looking very good, I'd say !

It’s going to be super hard to vote on this challenge, there are three clear winners in my opinion and this is one of them. I have to agree with Ilanthar the trees on the left are looking really good.

Well, this may be the last chance I have to post, I think I could call this provisionally done. I've been trying to add some labels and mark-up but nothing has been very satisfying in terms of integrating with the map, so here's the map of Archie and Salazar's little feud on Vaalsa.
