So I was right! Reality is completely wrong.

But what if we can make maps that are better than reality?
    What if reality was wrong?
    Does reality even exist?
What if it's just a perception and the real reality is something else?
Is there a school for neorealists?

Rivers carry out land deposit, which is why they tend to end at points rather than indents.

    Who is Steve?

Very funny indeed, this map from the 18th century is interesting : http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv...ississipi.zoom

I have no idea who Steve is, but this thread had me in stitches, I completely lost it at the ocean-lake part X'D

The guy is overreacting. The only strange thing for me is the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway which is not a "usual place" to build a bridge, but then again it cuts the distance to the other side pretty nice and it can be logical from logistic and transport point of view.

Then there is the Lake Borgne which should not be called a lake

Other then that, for me it is rather very original and beautiful place to map. Nothing unrealistic there.

Haha, that's great! Love the part about slipping with the eraser tool, though that's all too familiar...
